The Queen of the Forests

Description

It was a bright and sunny day when Wendy was trekking through the forest with her friends. Everything seemed to be calm; the birds were singing, and if one looked closely, one could see the small flowers around the trees.

The flowers gave their pleasant aroma to the air, and Wendy picked one from the grass to smell it. She felt rather joyful, the flower smelled like a memory… A memory that was long lost, even older than Wendy herself. How could Wendy know if it was a memory if it’s older than herself?

She felt like she always had this memory, the memory was timeless and it was of home. But the “home” wasn’t Gravity Falls, it was more like a primordial home where we all originate from. It was Nature, and Wendy heard her voice in her head:

“Why did you uproot my precious child, Wendy? She did nothing to you!”

Wendy was quite in a shock after hearing that. But, she tried to stay calm and thought to herself:

“I must be imagining things. It’s not like there is actually a Mother Nature.”

That thought made Mother Nature (Gaia) very angry:

“There isn’t a Mother Nature, huh? You humans are my most ungrateful children who tend to destroy the lives of my other children! I’m going to teach you a lesson, you woodcutter!”

Suddenly the sky went dark and cloudy. Winds started to blow from every direction, and it began to rain like the rain which caused the Biblical flood of Noah.

Wendy’s friends started to panic, but their real fright began when roots of trees arose from the ground.

The roots dragged Wendy down into the earth. No matter how hard her friends tried to pull Wendy back, it didn’t work. Wendy was screaming, but nothing could be done.

She looked forlornly at the forest and her friends once more before she completely sank to the ground, utterly regretful of what she has done.

Nonetheless, Wendy was still alive. When she opened her eyes, she saw a natural paradise.

A forest of marvelous beauty with animals that she has never seen, flowers that have hundreds of petals, and a splendid lake with lily pads as big as small boats.

Wendy was in awe, and she said:

“Now, I’ve seen everything. If I knew all this wonderful natural life existed, I would never pick up another flower and I would never let my father chop down another tree.”

“Welcome to the Hollow Earth, Gwendolyn. You’re not as evil as you seem. I thought that you were eager to follow your father’s footsteps.”

Wendy wasn’t quite sure why a voice from nowhere called her “Gwendolyn”, but after what she has seen, this didn’t surprise her.

“I’m Gaia, the Mother Nature. The Hollow Earth is my ideal design for the Surface Earth. When you humans of Surface Earth learn to respect and protect the Nature, you are going to restore the Nature to its’ condition before the Industrial Revolution. This doesn’t mean that you should stop the march of progress, there is a way to advance and prosper while respecting my children.”

“So, what is my purpose in here? And, why did you call me Gwendolyn?”, Wendy said in confusion.

“Gwendolyn my child, is the version of your name before your European ancestors came to the New World. Your ancestors were very idealistic people who came to America with great dreams.

They even sent people to the Outer Celestial Realm and Luna. They did all of this thanks to their superior knowledge of mathematics, physics and chemistry. But, in the last 50 years, someone muddled their minds.

They gave up their culture to become global citizens without an identity. When this great cultural devolution happened, your ancestors stopped building rockets and making the atomic energy safe to use as cold fusion.

They cut vast amounts of forests for useless consumer goods factories that make awful products that pollute the Nature, and the food factories produce genetically corrupted versions of my cornucopia of offerings.”

“Your mission Gwendolyn, is to be my helper on the Surface Earth. I can’t bear to see any more of my precious children die or be corrupted because of the evil interests of globalist elites who want to destroy the idealistic folk who can take you to the stars again one day.

The situation is serious. If nothing is done, then the world will be in perpetual darkness.”

“I will bestow you a piece of my divine soul. You will show your folk the right way, and lead them to the Upward Path once again.

When the globalists are no more, and when your people rediscover who they are, the first part of your mission will be complete.”

“What is the second part, Mother Gaia? And, why did you choose me for this seemingly impossible mission?”, Wendy asked.

“The second part is to reunite your folk with the ways of Nature, and to build a star-faring civilization with your folk.

All shall witness their splendor and they will march forward once again, this time in unity.”

“I have chosen you, because you have seen what could happen if my children got hurt. I obviously tried to teach you a lesson with that whole storm and tree roots thing, but very real things could happen if the ecosystem is corrupted.

Hurricanes, heatwaves, air pollution, you name it. Your folk stopped to care about them after they became global citizens.

Rejecting the identity and their folkish ways that Nature gave to them caused them to eat unhealthy food, consume the heaps of trash that they don’t really need, and they became degenerates to gain a new identity after they rejected their given one.”

“You have proven to be quite the warrior in the past, now the only thing that you need is the mindset to do this task. With the power of my soul, you will be immortal and the triumph of your will over the globalist corruption will be inevitable.”

After this speech, a light orb came through Gaia’s heart, and she transferred this orb of light to Wendy’s heart. After Wendy got this piece of Gaia’s soul, she became Gwendolyn, the Queen of the Forests.

She was adorned with a dress given to her by Gaia, and a crown of flowers. Now it was time for Gwendolyn to take the Sacred Oath of Gaia:

“I Gwendolyn; do hereby swear to protect the children of Gaia at all costs, and to be responsible for the upbringing and the development of my folk. I shall make sure that the evil forces of degeneracy and parasitism shall never triumph, and I shall only use the powers vested to me by Gaia for the restoration of the purity of the Nature and for the benefit of my folk.”

“That is the spirit, Gwendolyn! Now return to the Surface Earth and make Mother Nature proud of you!”, said Gaia with joy.
